Alex Jockisch is from Petersburg, Illinois.

She is graduating with a BA in Apparel Studies. She aspires to become a fashion historian and to work in a museum bringing garments back to life for another generation to enjoy. She chose to study fashion after years of using personal style as a creative outlet, and seeing the amount of waste that occurs in the fashion industry. Stephens’ unique, one-on-one construction and sustainability-based fashion program brought her in. The historic collection sealed the deal for her. As cheesy as it is, she would tell my freshman self to cherish the moments, from the unimpressive, “boring”, casual picnics on the quad to the remarkable phenomenon of the annual fashion show.
